Donations

The FHLTA receives many donations and is a valuable source of income which is most appreciated.   We endeavour to spend the monies for the benefit of everyone involved with the heart and lung transplant units at the Freeman Hospital.

Over the years we have supported and totally funded many worthwhile projects at the Freeman and are very proud of the support we can give.

It is with thanks to the kindness and generosity of donor families,  organ recipients and the many friends of the FHLTA that we are in a position to help in many ways.

The flats at the Freeman are totally funded by the FHLTA and are of great benefit to the many people who need to stay close to family and friends whilst being treated far from home.

All of the equipment from the knives and forks to the beds are funded by the FHLTA.

The TV's and videos in each bay on ward 27A are provided by the    FHLTA

We have provided much needed equipment for the transplant clinic and staff over the years.

Many of the staff have been able to attend conferences and seminars with particular emphasis on transplantation all over the world  thanks to the many donations we receive.

Transplant nurses have been funded in further education with help from the charity that is the FHLTA.
